Culver Road
Christopher Herman, Store Manager
The
Culver team knows that coming to work every day means helping people in the
Rochester community rise above poverty…one pair of “cute” shoes at a time. Our
stores are full of designer brands – at bargain prices – and all of the
proceeds go to fund the programs that Volunteers of America support in the
community we call “home.”
Elmira
Patty Crowley, Store Manager
We
are an extended neighborhood family store; an eclectic mix of customers,
employees and products. A community onto its own, where you will not only know
the staff but see your neighbors as well, we will notice if you haven’t been in
for a while and we are always glad to serve you.
Fairport
Kim Taylor, Store Manager
Our store is unique because
of our layout. Our clothing is separate from our hard goods & furniture.
It’s like two stores in one. Our processing area is completely open to the
customers giving them a chance to see what we do with the donations they bring.
Customers can expect a clean and organized store that is bright and inviting. Plus,
it’s always nice to find a bargain.

Internet Sales Department
Mary Kay Stone, Internet Sales Manager
The Internet Sales Department guarantees that the special and valuable items donated to the VOA are placed in the international marketplace of eBay. Some large and unusual or hard-to-sell items are listed on Craigslist.
We ship hundreds of items worldwide every month, but about 10% of our sales are Rochester area residents buying online and picking up at one of our retail stores.
We also sell books, video games,CDs and DVDs on five sites: eBay, Half.com, Amazon, Alibris and Biblio.com
Our eBay user ID is "voawny".
Donor Support
We have the honor to speak with our donors on a daily basis. Our goal is to provide them with exceptional customer service, ensuring that their pick-ups are scheduled in a timely, efficient manor and that we are keeping them informed of how their donations support the 5,000 individuals we serve each year.
Warehouse Team
The Volunteers of America Warehouse Team has trained professional drivers ready and waiting to collect your gently used items for resale within your same community. All proceeds from these sales also go back into our community helping the children and families here. The pickup is free and the items are a tax write off with our donation slips. We thank you for your generosity and look forward to continued support to our community.
