Clothing and Household Items

If you have clothing or household items that are in good condition but just don't get used anymore consider donating them to Volunteers of America. Donations are sold in our stores to help support the human services programs run by Volunteers of America.

Make the most of your donation by giving items that are:

  • Able to be resold in Volunteers of America stores
  • Clean (free of stains, mold, mildew, animal dander, and odor)
  • Usable (not torn or broken)
  • Easily transported (not too bulky or heavy)
  • Free of safety and/or environmental hazards
  • Free of fossil fuels

Items that are soiled, stained, torn, faded, or broken cannot be sold at Volunteers of America stores. These items have to be thrown away which can add up to very large disposal costs.

Don’t let your donation go to waste! Help Volunteers of America spend money on needed services — not disposal bills.

Donation Value Guide

Your donation of items to Volunteers of America may be tax deductable. To help determine the deductable value the items of you are donating download our Donation Value Guide.
