Community Outreach
Volunteers of America’s Community Outreach Programs meet the most basic needs of individuals without the means to provide for themselves, and give them the tools to become self-sufficient. Services include:
- Homelessness Intervention
- Crisis Assistance
- Emergency Food Program
- Drug and Alcohol Recovery Support
- Children's Literacy
- Working Wardrobe
- Step by Step
- Recycling
We also provide the following support services: case management, lifeskills training, educational assistance, advocacy, referrals, transportation to other service providers, vocational guidance, and computer skills training.
This wholistic approach enables clients in crisis to address problems without being overwhelmed or sidetracked by confusion, red tape or a lack of support.
