When you make a gift to the Volunteers of America "Your Caring Gifts" campaign, you'll be giving a less fortunate family the greatest gift of all... A chance--a chance for a better life.
Please consider supporting one of the gifts below which will provide much needed services for an individual or family in need in our community.
The Gift of Shelter for a Family, $54
Ensure that homeless parents and their children have a safe place to sleep, food to eat, and the assistance necessary to address the crisis in their lives. The gift will help families staying at Volunteers of America's Emergency Family Shelter.
The Gift of Shelter for an Individual, $27
Provide a night of housing for a homeless individual and support services to help them rebuild his or her life.
The Gift of Food, $75
Supply a week of groceries for a family who is struggling to make ends meet.
The Gift of Literacy, $15
Help prepare at-risk children for success in school. Your gift will provide literacy assistance and new books for three children.
The Gift of Nurturing, $45 for a day or $215 for a week
Provide safe, loving care and educational programs for young children. This gift also supports low-income parents who are making the move from welfare to work by ensuring they have accessible, reliable child care.
The Gift of a Second Chance, $52
Make it possible for individuals leaving prison to develop positive, productive lives as they transition back into the community. This gift will provide temporary housing, employment assistance, and lifeskills training.
The Gift of Hope, $125
Ensure that a homeless family can move from a shelter into a place they can call home. This gift helps to locate housing for homeless families and helps them stabilize their lives with follow-up support services.
The GIft of Self-Confidence, $37
Assist formerly homeless and/or impoverished individuals to conduct successful job searches by providing them with professional business attire and coaching for job interviews.
A Gift for the Future, $100, $ 250, $ 500 or more
Help Volunteers of America continue to meet the needs of those most vulnerable in our community. Your contribution will enable VOA to meet the needs of those who are hungry, homeless, addicted, and isolated in the coming year and beyond.
