Donation Attendant
As a Donation Attendant you will help manage intake of donated household items as they arrive at Volunteers of America. Meet and greet our wonderful donors, help them unload their items, and ensure donation receipts are properly filled out and given to the donor. You will also help to sort items. Three hour minimum with a 12 hour per month commitment required.

Electronics Sorter
Volunteers of America receives many donated electronics and needs volunteers to sort through stereos, radios, computers, VCR’s, DVD players, and appliances. You can help us determine what can be sold in our stores, what needs repairs, and even make minor repairs to get items in working order. Three hour minimum with a 12 hour a month commitment required.

Furniture Repair
Volunteers of America receives many furniture donations, some require minor repairs before they can be sold in a VOA retail center. You can help make these minor repairs, as well as salvage reusable pieces from furniture that as a whole may not be in a condition to sell. Three hour minimum with a 12 hour a month commitment required.

Linens Grader
You can help Volunteers of America sort donated linens to determine which are of a quality  and condition to re-sell and then label them with size and measurements, and price accordingly. Three hour minimum with a 12 hour a month commitment required.

Media Sorter
You can help us sort media donations such as books, movies, and music by condition and category, preparing items to be sold in the VOA retail center.  You can also help organize the media department of the store by category. Three hour minimum with a 12 hour a month commitment required.

Greeter
Volunteers of America is looking for a friendly, outgoing volunteer to greet customers as they enter the VOA retail center. You will also help re-shop items to their proper department, and assist cashiers when lines begin to form. Three hour minimum with a 12 hour a month commitment required.

Inventory Assistant
Help ensure all retail clothing items are current with the week's inventory rotation. Assist staff with the evaluation of current store items, and removing items that have not sold within a designated time period for re-distribution. This opportunity requires a volunteer who is available on Sundays.

Shoe & Accessory Grader
Volunteers of America is looking for a fashion savvy volunteer to help sort through donations of shoes and accessories to select items in good condition to be sent to retail stores. The volunteer would help to enhance the appearance of items to optimize their chance at sale. Three hour minimum with a 12 hour a month commitment required.

Ebay Book Seller
Volunteers of America is looking for a volunteer to inventory donated books, catalogue them, and post them for sale online. All proceeds from the sale of donated books will help support Volunteers of America programs.

Ebay Photgrapher
Volunteers of America is looking for a volunteer photographer to photograph items for sale on the agency’s EBay auction site. All proceeds will help support Volunteers of America programs.
