Volunteers of America’s Children’s Center serves families living in Rochester’s most impoverished neighborhoods. As summer approaches, 70 young children are in need of scholarships to attend the center during summer.
We need your help to ensure that no child is turned away!
Your support of the VOA Summer Scholarship Fund ensures that children from low-income families are in a safe, nurturing environment while their parents are at work.

- Decrease learning loss as children prepare for the next grade level
At VOA’s full-day Summer Camp, at-risk children from low-income families spend their summer in a safe, nurturing environment instead of being exposed to dangerous situations if parents are forced to leave children home with unreliable caregivers (older siblings) or in some cases home alone while they go to work. VOA provides healthy meals and snacks, access to health care via Telemedicine, specialized clubs to develop interests & hobbies, field trips, and continued academic development.
