There are some items that Volunteers of America cannot accept as donations. The following list is provided as a guide. If you are uncertain whether Volunteers of America will accept your item please call us at (585) 647-1150.

Examples of items that Volunteers of America cannot accept:

• Certain Baby Items ( i.e., car seats, drawstring toys, drawstring clothing, monitors, non-compliant cribs, plastic bathtubs, swings, walkers)
• Children's Items (we are unable to accept furniture and toys designed for children 12 years of age or younger)
• Furnaces and Parts
• Large Appliances
• Luggage, sewing machines and organs
• Metal Salvage
• Satellite Dishes
• Swimming Pools (plastic)
• Televisions (10 years or older)
• Tires
• Waterbeds
• Weapons (guns, ammunition)

All donations are accepted at the discretion of Volunteers of America employees.
