Volunteers of America helps more than 5,000 people throughout Western and Central New York each year. Our mission is to enable people in our community to break the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential.
Volunteers of America Unveils Plans for $3 Million Project
Volunteers of America Western New York’s President and CEO, Dianne Newhouse announced a $3 million renovation project to the agency’s supportive housing facility at 119 State Street. The project is funded by New York State through a Homeless Housing Assistance Program Grant. Construction partners are general contractor, LeChase Construction and Glasow Simmons Architecture. 
 
“We are proud to announce this major capital project, which will create 15 new units and upgrade 30 units of housing for homeless individuals. The scope of work will also include exterior enhancements that will improve the appearance of the building,” commented Dianne Newhouse, President and CEO.    Read Entire Press Release
